What people usually ask
Yes. There is no subscription, no trial period and no paid tier with extra features. Budgetto makes no money from your data: no ads, no tracking, nothing sold on. The server costs are carried by GY Digital.
No, and it is not even possible. Budgetto never asks for your banking details and has no link to your account whatsoever. You enter your expenses and income yourself, or set up your fixed costs once as subscriptions. That is slower than an automatic connection, but nobody gets access to your account and you see more clearly where your money goes.
Budgetto looks at your own history. Expenses that come back every month are recognised as a fixed pattern, the trend of recent months is taken into account, and so is the season: for most people August costs more than February. That produces an estimate of what will be left in the coming months. It is a calculation based on your figures, not advice, and the longer you track, the sharper it gets.
On a server in the European Union, managed by GY Digital. Your browser only talks to that server and to nobody else. There are no analytics, no ad networks and no third-party cookies: only a session cookie to keep you logged in. Server backups keep your data for a maximum of thirty days.
Yes. Under Settings you can export everything to CSV or to a JSON backup, and that backup can be imported again. If you delete your account, your data goes immediately. So you are not tied to anything.
Yes. Budgetto is a website that adapts to your screen, so it works on phone, tablet and computer without installing anything. You can add it to your home screen and it opens like a normal app. There is nothing in the App Store or Google Play.
Dutch, French and English. You pick the language in the top right and that choice is remembered. Amounts are in euros.
Budgetto is built and maintained by GY Digital, a one-person Belgian company. It started as a budget app for personal use, because the existing apps either cost money or made money from their users data.
