Budgetto is free and stays free. There is no payment, no trial period and no subscription, so there is little to agree on about money. What follows is about who provides the service, what you can expect from it, and what you do and do not do with it.

§01

Who provides the service

Budgetto is built and run by GY Digital, the trading name under which Romain Goyeau works as a student entrepreneur. Invoicing for GY Digital client work runs through Tentoo Belgium NV; for Budgetto that plays no role, because nothing is charged.

§02

Not financial advice

This is the most important point on this page. Budgetto is a calculator, not an adviser. The app shows what you enter, adds it up, and extends a line into the future based on your own pattern.

Nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or borrow. The monthly forecast is an estimate based on the past, not a promise about what you will have left. Prices in the Net worth module come from an external source, may lag or be wrong, and are not suitable as a basis for decisions that money depends on. Always check a figure that really matters with your bank or broker.

Budgetto is not a regulated financial service, not an investment firm and not a credit intermediary, and is therefore under no financial supervision.

§03

Your account

  • You need an account to use the app. Give a valid email address, as it is the only way we can reach you.
  • You are responsible for your password. Do not share it, and do not reuse a password you already use elsewhere.
  • You use the app for yourself, not to keep someone else’s books without them knowing.
  • From the age of 16 you can create an account on your own. If you are younger, do it together with a parent or guardian.
§04

What you do not do

  • Attack or overload the app or the server, or try to get into someone else’s account.
  • Scrape data automatically or resell the app as your own service.
  • Use the app for anything unlawful, or to harm others.
  • Circumvent security measures. If you find a hole, report it: we will be grateful and will never respond legally to a proper report where nothing was abused.
§05

Availability

The app runs on a single server and is maintained by one person. There is no guaranteed uptime, no helpdesk with opening hours and no recovery time you can rely on. Maintenance can happen without notice. In practice Budgetto runs continuously, but that is an aim, not a promise.

Should Budgetto ever shut down, we will say so at least 30 days in advance in the app and by email, so you can export your data. Exporting is possible at any time anyway.

§06

Liability

Budgetto is provided as is. We do our best to make the app calculate correctly and keep your data safe, but we do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation, nor that external prices are accurate.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage: lost profit, a decision you made based on a figure in the app, or data lost while you had no export of your own. What we do carry is liability for intent and gross negligence, and for harm to life or health. Belgian law does not allow that to be excluded, so we do not try to here.

§07

Who owns what

What you enter stays yours. We claim no rights over your transactions, categories or positions, we do not use them to train anything, and you can export them or have them permanently erased at any time. The app itself, the Budgetto name, the design and the source code remain GY Digital’s.

§08

Stopping

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings, which removes everything immediately. We can close an account if someone breaks the rules above, and will only do so after a warning, unless it concerns abuse that harms others.

§09

Governing law

Belgian law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the full protection of the mandatory law of your place of residence, and can always bring a dispute before the court competent there. We do not try to limit that here.

§10

Changes

If we change these terms, we raise the version number at the top. For a material change you get a notice in the app the next time you sign in. If you keep using the app, the new terms apply; if you disagree, you can delete your account and take your data with you.

§11
